E! Online announced today that Charlie Sheen has checked into rehab. This is what his publicist, Stan Rosenfield, had to say:"As a preventative measure, Charlie Sheen has entered a rehabilitation facility. He will take some time off his series Two and a Half Men. He has asked that his privacy be honored."
I'm not sure that Mr. Sheen or his publicist understand the meaning of rehab. Generally, one checks in after experiencing a problem.
MedicineNet.com defines rehabilitation as:
The process of restoration of skills by a person who has had an illness or injury so as to regain maximum self-sufficiency and function in a normal or as near normal manner as possible....Someone needs to let Charlie know right away--he's going to the wrong place. He needs to go to prehab!
The word comes from the Latin "rehabilitare" meaning to make fit again.

Okay, he's rich, famous, and gets to drink and whore his days away.
Yeah. He doesn't need rehab. He has it down! Lucky bastard!
C:: Just for a moment, it looked like I had coined the term prehab. I was at the top of Google. Alas, I wasn't the only smartass to think of it, so I'm back down at the bottom where I belong.
Charlie, You gave Feck a moment in the Google sun and for that, I thank you. But, with all the prosties and drugs and wife-choking, I don't think you're pre-anything.
I can't believe it...you're not the only smartass out there? The fahrvenugen?!?!!E#$@!%$ I'm really upset as you can tell.
Unfinished: Right? Aargh! Wait...are you making fun of me? {sigh}
