We just started watching this show last week. I'm still not sure what I think of it but it IS compelling.
I'm watching the second season now. It's a dead-on skewering of theater folk but at the same time it shows great affection for them. And the interpretations of the texts are so moving. I feel like its tagline could be, "How to Enjoy Shakespeare Without Really Trying." I hope you'll dig it as much as I do.
