I haven't heard the term "moral turpitude" since the vice principal at my high school got canned for diddling a student. I had no idea that it could also be felonious. Thank you, CBS and Charlie Sheen, for teaching me something new today.

My undoing arrived in my inbox tonight, courtesy of The New York Times. CBS finally fired Sheen. And just like that, I was off the wagon. I needed juicier fare so I sped to TMZ where I read the letter delivered to Sheen's lawyer this morning. I think we can guess what it says but here's a highlight for my fellow addicts.
There is ample evidence supporting Warner Bros. reasonable good faith opinion that Mr. Sheen has committed felony offenses involving moral turpitude (including but not limited to furnishing of cocaine to others as part of the self-destructive lifestyle he has described publicly)that have "interfere [ d] with his ability to fully and completely render all material services required" under the Agreement.
This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of their bazillions, never have to look at whatshiscock again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial realm.
To those who say we just don't get Charlie's sense of humor...really? If he thinks it's wise at this point to joke around, isn't that further evidence he's unglued? I'm fascinated along with almost everyone else--the man's a walking non sequitur factory. T-shirt companies devoted to his wit and wisdom must cherish every sound bite.
Luckily for them, the hits keep on coming. Sheen's done two webcasts, the first of which even he says is bad, called Sheen's Korner. Although I believe almost everything is improved by the letter k, I'm curious: was Sheen's Corner already trademarked? And Mark Cuban is hoping the Vatican assassin can drum up some viewers with a new show on Cuban's HDnet. The premise?
Is it crass to suggest he might be hoping to capture an overdose? Or perhaps the soul-puckering moment when Sheen realizes that he's not that special? With two million Twitter fans hanging on his every word, it must seem like everyone's along for his roller coaster ride. What Charlie can't know yet is that part of the thrill for us is knowing we can jump off before he runs out of track."We're trying to decide," Cuban told ESPN. "Right now, we're taping a lot of different things that he's doing and we'll try to figure it out. It's still not 100 percent certain."

So...are they going to replace Sheen with Owen Wilson, or just cancel the show? I think Owen could fill Sheen's shoes quite nicely...
I heard it might be John Stamos although Sheen said Stamos doesn't have what he has.
I find Wilson's penis-like nose distracting but he definitely has the ladies' man thing down.
I hope CBS puts a stake in it and moves on.
Sorry I got distracted by what you said here, "I find Wilson's penis-like nose distracting but he definitely has the ladies' man thing down."
LOL. Oh my goodness. You tell it like it is. :-)
What was I going to comment on? ... Loving what you have to say so far about this whole circus. I did not know that moral turpitude is a felony either. But wikipedia shows a long chart... now my head hurts.
I LOVED Two and a Half Men. The kid was outgrowing both of the miniature men, and I hate it that Sheen, single-handed, screwed everyone out of a long running show.
Sheen's too full of himself and by the photos I'm seeing, he's going the way of all heavy drug users. He's going scrawny and wasted looking.
I say, no matter what you do, CHOOSE and go with it. He's trying to ride both sides of the rail.
Go down or get up, but you can't insist you're on both sides of the street at the same time.
A of A: Maybe that's part of Owen's appeal. He's like Joe Camel. ;)
Charlie's had a get-out-of-jail-free card for so long, I don't think he'd believe in felony turpitude or, in any case, that he should pay any price for it. Apparently, the world owes him a job.
I can't understand why people defend the guy. He's a drug-addicted egomaniac.I feel sorry for him and for his family but I also believe he needs to be slapped HARD to have any chance of recovering from this.
Are fans living vicariously through his bitchin' life in his porn palace? Have they looked at him lately? He isn't living the dream. He's living the nightmare that comes after. He needs to wake up, quickly.
dana: "can't insist you're on both sides of the road at the same time"-- so true. He's hanging on for dear life--or death--to the fantasy of invincibility. He brags about doing an amount of drugs no one else could survive. I hope that he pulls out of the spiral. We always have room for one more sobered up actor.
PS-- Doesn't this make you appreciate how hard it must have been for Robert Downey Jr. to recover?
"T-shirt companies devoted to his wit and wisdom must cherish every sound bite."
You got that right. And the cologne companies should really do what Jimmy Fallon did in his mock commercial - "WINNING" for men. And, somewhere out there a Vodka company MUST BE branding a label "TIGERS BLOOD".
I feel sorry for those who are now unemployed because of Sheen and his antics! His train will probably jumps the tracks any day now!
Hugs
SueAnn
